About terre

Terre is an independent, art-driven print magazine about natural wines & heritage foods, distributed globally. Terre takes on a fresh exploration of terroir--a concept that encompasses climate, history, and people--through original journalism, artwork, and photography. We highlight small producers of food and natural wine around the world, and the communities around them, with an edgy, contemporary perspective. Issue 1 was released in early November, 2017 and sold out almost immediately; it can still be found in some bookstores, wine shops, and culinary shops around the world. Issue 2 is planned for release in May 2018 and is currently in pre-sale on our "Shop" page.

Rachel Signer has been writing, photographing, and producing films about the culture of natural wine and innovative chefs for several years. Her work appears in Vogue.com, Vice MUNCHIES, Wine Enthusiast, Wine & Spirits Magazine, Sprudge Wine, and elsewhere. Erika DaSilva is a self-taught illustrator painting primarily in gouache. Her work is inspired by 10 years in food and wine in New York City and abroad, and focuses on the community surrounding food and those who serve and grow it. Florals, dinner parties, portraits of makers, wine producers and ingredients appear throughout her work. Erika lives with her husband, daughter and pups in the Hudson Valley, NY, surrounded by apple cider donuts. Instagram: @crown9studios. 



Katie June Burton is a food and lifestyle photographer, devoted cook, and holistic nutrition consultant. After several years as a personal chef in Boulder, Co, Katie moved to NYC to manage a catering company and open a buzzy summer pop-up restaurant in Brooklyn serving Hawaiian-Vietnamese street food. She now hosts supper clubs and pop-up events in NYC and Miami, while simultaneously developing her food photography career, working with chefs and restaurants all over the world.
